A full house of guests gathered to mark the Grand Reopening of the Anderson Arts Center Saturday night, including about a dozen Anderson family members.
The famed gallery underwent a $4.3 million renovation that includes a new geothermal heating and cooling system that will protect future art exhibitions. Newly painted walls, lighting system and a versatile frame hanging system will accent those displays as well.
The former mansion’s roof was replaced as well as most of the windows. A sparkling set of new restrooms now occupy the former garage and the building is now handicapped accessible.
